Oh man. What can I say about this game...
It's the product of nearly 15 years of work, improvements, and sequels. There's really nothing like it. It's a fighting game, but it's not your run of the mill punch-'em-up. Instead of working off of health, it introduces a system of damage where the more damage you have the further you can be launched. It really adds a fun new side to the genre. It incorporates some platforming too, and what's more, it's a huge Nintendo crossover. You have characters from Super Mario, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda and more battling it out in a game of skill. I couldn't possibly describe the entire game in a single paragraph, but it's definitely one of my favorites. My favorite character is Samus. If you don't have this game, get it! It's incredibly awesome.

Unlike other games of this sort, Super Mario Maker focuses a lot more on Making than on playing, which is great. I'd hesitate even to call it a game, it's more of a gaming software tool. It's difficult to find a diamond in the rough in the Course World, but you can make some truly awesome stuff.

No matter how you play it, Super Metroid is a truly classic game. It's definitely a gamer's game, with intense, captivating gameplay. Also, it's really awesome.
